Kahurangi dance group

Yesterday at 11:30 after morning tea we went to the hall to watch the Kahurangi kapahaka dance group. When we went to the hall we sat down on the ground waiting for the kapahaka people to come out. Kia ora Aroha shouted to all of the seniors sitting on the floor in the hall. They had powerful voices and powerful slaps. The other guys name was Lucky. There piupiu swung from side to side.

All the children was cheering and when they said kiaora we shouted kiaora back. The girls names are Hera and Zoe, we were all laughing because it was funny. They were choosing 3 people to try use a taiaha. 3 people got chosen they went up in front of everybody so we could see what kind of stuff they were doing.  When they finished they went and sat back down.

The kapahaka people started to perform again, Zoe and Hera was using the pois they were good a few minutes later they grabbed out four pois and used them at the same time. They were good they were doing heaps of tricks with them.

They had these little sticks called titi torea, they showed them to us they were throwing the titi torea to the other person. They were good when they finished the performance it was time for us to go. They said bye to us and we shouted bye back.
